TOURIST VISA:

Every Foreign National needs to obtain a VISA for visiting India. For details please click onhttps://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html

ELIGIBILITY TO GET INDIA VISA: -

  • International travellers whose sole objective for visiting India is recreation, sight seeing,casual visit to meet friends and relatives, attending a short term yoga programme,Short term courses on local languages, music, dance, arts & crafts, cooking, medicine etc. which should not be a formal or structured course/programme (courses not exceeding 6 months duration and not issued with a qualifying certificate/ diploma etc),Voluntary work of short duration (for a maximum period of one month, which do not involve any monetary payment or consideration of any kind in return), medical treatment including treatment under Indian systems of medicine, business purpose, as attendant to e-Medical visa holder, attending a conference/ seminar/ workshop organized by a Ministry or Department of the Government of India, State Governments or UT Administrations etc. & their subordinate/ attached organizations & PSUs and private conferences organized by private persons/companies/organizations.
  • Applicant's passport should have at least six months validity at the time of making application for grant of e-Visa.
  • International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket,with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
  • International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.
  • Not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders or Laissez-passer travel document holders.
  • Not available to individuals endorsed on Parent's/Spouse's Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.
  • Not available to International Travel Document Holders other than Passport.

  1. OUR DRIVER / CHAUFFEUR: -

Clique Holiday team assign only professional driver who are well-experienced and reliable. Our chauffeurs do not smoke or chew tobacco during the tour. We believe that chauffeurs is the main part of the tour as he spend most of the time with our guest. We would like to share that Chauffeurs in India (specially in North India) are not fluent in English. Yes please, they understand basic English where they can communicate.


  • TOUR GUIDES:-

Clique Holidays only assign government-approved tour guides for our guest. These guides have a great knowledge of sites and monuments. There are many hawkers and touts around you so please make sure that you only take a government-approved tour guide during the tour.

OCTOBER TO MARCH It is a winter season in India. The temperature between 5 degree Celsius to 30 degree Celsius. If you are visiting South India (Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilandu) then you will encounter 25 degree to 30 degree Celsius.
APRIL – JULY SUMMER SEASON TEMPERATURE – 25 – 45 DEGREE CELSIUS.
15 JULY – 30 SEPETMBER MONSOON SEASON (MOST OF THE PART OF INDIA)

  1. Currency / ATM Machine / Foreign Exchange:

The Indian rupee is the official currency of the republic of India. Banknotes in circulation come in denominations of Rs. 5, Rs. 10, Rs. 20, Rs. 50, Rs. 100, Rs, & 500.  If you would like to change the currency then you can look for authorized foreign exchange counter.

The ATM machines are widely available in India. You can also withdraw the money through ATM machines. We request you to please inform to your bank in advance that you are traveling to India. This will help you to withdraw the money easily. You can check the exchange rates on www.xe.com

Credit cards are accepted at growing number of shops, markets, restaurants and most of the hotels. Master Cards & Visa are most widely accepted cards.


  1. Baggage Allowance:

If you are traveling through Inner India flights then you need to check the baggage allowance. The airlines are allowed 15 KG per person (check in bags) & 7 KG per person hand baggage without any charges.


  • Tipping Guidelines:

Tipping in India is not mandatory, and, It is depend on the services which you are receiving from the vendors, guides, porters, driver and representative. We would like to suggest the below tipping guidelines.

Local Guide: INR 500 to 1000 per Guide

Driver: INR 300 to 500 Per Day

Porter:  INR 50 / 100


Do’s in India

  • Do not try to explore Indian roads by your own. Mazy streets are often very puzzling. Indian hotels and tour agents have excellent arrangement of cars or you can easily book a private car or hire a taxi, which are available.
  • Take a note of all the important phone numbers of places you might plan to visit. Important phone numbers like ambulance, local police station, embassy’s number etc should always be with you.
  • Don’t trust strangers with money. Trust your hotel, but not people you may bump into on the streets.
  • Drink bottled water only. Even many Indians who have lived out of India for a few years sometimes suffer stomach upsets on drinking local tap water. If there is no alternative to tap water, ensure it is boiled.
  • Money exchange should always be done from trusted financial institutions like Banks of India or exchange your money via your travel partner or hotel.
  • Do immunize yourself against various illnesses like typhoid, malaria, liver disease and tetanus that are frequent in India.
  • If you are on treatment, please do you should have sufficient provide of both solutions and drugs. Bring a physician’s document to prevent possible problems with traditions techniques and also with local physicians.
  • India is a traditional country especially in the country side. Do dress reasonably if you are women. Native indian outfits are vibrant and cover the whole body but very uncomfortable for the first minutter. So adhere to european outfits but avoid tiny outfits.
  • Do prepare yourself at the earliest. Indian traffic and roads are hapless.
  • Do greet people with big smile. Handshake with ladies especially in rural areas should be avoided.
  • While traveling in the train, do take care of your luggage even at the first class compartment.
  • Money exchange should always be done from trusted financial institutions like Banks of India or exchange your money via your travel partner or hotel.
  • Foreigners are required to pay all their dues regarding the hotel bills in foreign currency only, in the form of cash, traveler’s checks or credit cards
  • In case of taxis and auto-rickshaws, try to hire them from the pre-paid booths, if possible. Otherwise, insist on going by the meter and check the readings regularly to ensure that the fare is correct. In case there are no meters or the meters are dysfunctional, set a fare in advance to avoid being fleeced later on.
  • English is spoken at almost tourist destination in India these days. However, It is better to hire government approved guides.
  • It is advisable for you to carry your own medicines. Almost all medicines in India are locally manufactured and you may not find the same brand names.
  • The electric current in India is 220/ 250 volts and 50 cycles. It is AC practically everywhere. Carry converters if you have some electric equipment with you.

  • Don’ts in India
  • Don’t display overt affection in public places with the member of opposite sexes.
  • Do not drink or brush your teeth with unboiled tap water
  • Do not drink beverages that contain ice made from unboiled tap water
  • Make sure to remove your footwear when visiting a place of worship or mausoleum. Some temples in India will not even allow you to carry leather articles inside. You can deposit them in the temple cloakroom and collect it on your way out.
  • It is not entirely unsafe to travel in India. You just have to take some precautions like avoiding isolated places, not going out after it’s too late, etc.
  • Do not eat unpeeled fruit, and peel fruit yourself before eating it
  • Do not carry much cash with you. In every nook of a town you’ll find ATMs.
  • Street smartness is indispensable on Indian streets. Crook can easily pick the scapegoat. So do not act puzzled and terrified.
  • Never ever purchase air/ rail/ bus tickets through strangers or unauthorized travel agents/ tour operators, also known as touts. They are not at all reliable. Buy tickets from the authorized centers only.
  • It is advisable not to hire any type of transportation from unlicensed operators.
  • Indian people are quite hospitable and friendly. Do not feel offended if they stare at you. It is just curiosity on their part. Most of the people will also go out of the way to help tourists and properly guide them.
  • Don’t feel offended if Indians ask you some personal questions like how much do you earn, are you married, do you have kids, etc

Helpful Information:

  1. Passport used by the applicant should have at least six-months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer on arrival.
  1. The applicant must travel on the passport on which e-Visa has been applied. Entry into India will be allowed on a new passport even if the e-Visa has been granted on the old passport. However, in such cases, the traveler must also carry the old passport on which the e-Visa has been granted.
  2. International Travelers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket, with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
  3. International Travelers having a Pakistani Passport or are of Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at the Indian Mission.
  4. E-Visa is not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders or Laissez-passer travel document holders.
  5. E-Visa is not available to individuals endorsed on Parent's/Spouse's Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.
  6. E-Visa is not available to International Travel Document Holders.
