Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, complete immigration and customs formalities. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Full-Day Kathmandu Sightseeing
Enjoy a full day of exploring Kathmandu’s spiritual and cultural landmarks. Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, the grand Boudhanath Stupa, and the panoramic Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). Explore Kumari Ghar, the residence of the Living Goddess, and the historic Durbar Square. In the evening, wander through local markets or relax at a café. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (Approx. 200 km / 7-8 Hours)
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the picturesque city of Pokhara. Optionally visit Manakamana Temple by cable car en route (cable car cost not included). Upon arrival, check into your hotel and unwind. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 04: Pokhara Sightseeing (Half-Day City Tour)
Following breakfast, tour Pokhara’s highlights, including Bindebasini Temple, set at 3,000 feet with stunning views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre ranges. Day 06: Kathmandu – Paro – Thimphu
After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu Airport for your flight to Paro, Bhutan.
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport (2,280m), complete arrival formalities and meet your local guide. Take a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s serene capital nestled among forested hills. Check into your hotel and enjoy the day at leisure or explore nearby surroundings. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 07: Thimphu City Tour & Local Culture
Begin your day with a visit to the towering Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the Thimphu valley. Discover the Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal, and enjoy panoramic views from Sangaygang Viewpoint. Visit the Memorial Chorten honoring Bhutan’s Third King. In the afternoon, tour Trashichhoedzong, the administrative and monastic heart of Bhutan. Spend your evening browsing vibrant markets and craft bazaars offering handwoven textiles, wood carvings, and traditional arts. Relax with coffee near the Clock Tower before dinner. Day 08: Thimphu – Dochula Pass – Punakha (Approx. 75 km / 3 Hours)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha, crossing the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m), adorned with 108 stupas and fluttering prayer flags. Enjoy tea and cookies at the pass cafeteria while taking in breathtaking Himalayan views (weather permitting). Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, strategically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Cross the colorful Punakha Suspension Bridge and enjoy local delicacies nearby. Day 09: Punakha – Return to Paro (Approx. 125 km / 4 Hours)
